seeking justice for our neighbors
We uphold a commitment to being community and to seeking justice for our neighbors. We agree to being an “open” church and believe that this, in part, commands us to open our hearts to the community, seeking to address needs most immediate and fundamental. We believe that the bottom line of the Gospel is a message of liberation, and that a large part of that message calls us to meet the needs of those who are trapped in poverty. We believe that action towards this end has to happen from a place of equal power, where church leadership and community are one, and engaged in a decentralized relationship. From this place, needs can be assessed and solutions can arise collectively.
